Hop up Cdi from Ebay for Predator 90 won't work
#11
I did a lot of research and I found out that the Predator 90 is an A/C cdi. Most aftermarket cdi's are designed for scooters that use "ground" to disable the cdi unit and shut the engine off. The predator and most 2 stroke ATV's use ground with the stock cdi to run and remove the "ground" to stop the engine.
If you reverse the on/off switches then the electric starter will not work. This page explains the wiring changes needed but to simplify; plug black/white wire directly into an aftermarket kill switch to stop the engine. None of the oem switches will work then but must be "on" for the electric starter to work.
Here is a helpful page on the drr website.

Hopefully this may help someone in the future with the same issue.
