When my"C"was new it was so hard to find neutral while running i thought cannondale had some sort
of a neutral lock-out to keep you from missing shifts while riding or racing...
after awhile you get used to it but i rarely catch it on the first try myself...

 

I had the same problem when I first got mine, alot easier now after some practice.
