New Cannibal on the way?
#1
Well guys i just went to my Cannondale dealer and put a deposit on a new 2002 Cannibal. The dealer is gonna let me test ride it to see if its right for me being that i never rode one before.Just reading through this forun it seems everyone here who owns a Cannondale really loves them with very few mechanical problems.I cant wait to ride it.Is it that hard to maintance this machine?

The maintanance isn't hard, just time consuming. Most of the problems here are not mechanical. The motors have shown to be good and reliable so far, but some computers and fuel pumps and some other little stuff have had problems that C-dale will more than likely fix for you right away. The weird thing is, sometimes something little may go wrong but since the effect may be completely different than any other quad, people tend to get overly and unnecisarly (sp?) worried... including me. I know your gonna love it! Just don't foul a plug.

My guess is you will be extremely happy with your purchase, I have had my cannibal about 3 weeks now and in one word it is AWSOME! Just entered my second race with it this past weekend and I was up against a new Suzuki Z400, a modified 250R (he races the GNC MX series), a banshee and several 400 EX's in an OPEN QUAD class, pulled the holeshot on all of them!
With the recent addition (last week) of the HMF exhaust and re-map my cannibal has an unbeleivable mid-range hit that pulls well into the top. Start in second gear, pin the throttle and hang on!
As far as maintenance, if you are racer/tuner the maintenance on the c-dales is no big deal, it probably would be more of a pain for someone that just enjoys trail riding and is looking for a get on it and ride it type of quad.
Good luck and enjoy.
