Hey Guys,

I'm in negotiations via e-mail with this guy that owns this Cannibal. He tried to sell it on e-bay, but his reserve wasn't met. He has spent some money on upgrades, and says it only has 4 hours on it. I'm pretty sure it has the arvins up front. If you guys would go to the auction and check it out, and look at the extras, that would be cool. Then come back here and tell me what you think it is worth. The auction # is 1831010076.

Thanks a lot!

his reserve was not met and it made it up to 5600. he migfhty have alot of extras but its not worth much more. Most I would pay is 5800-6000 since it is a used bike

Here's what I see. First, you might want to verify this but you cannot transfer the warranty, the warranty is only good to the original owner. Second, it does have some nice items. The RPM Dominator axle is the best aftermarket axle you can purchase, that's a $400 item, the anti fade nut is a $200 item. I've got a built R and I'm well aware of these products and their prices. He's got the hydraulic clutch so it's a very recently build Cannibal. He also has an aftermarket exhaust, that's around $200. Tag T2's are $100 item and the Houser steering stem is a $250 item. So it's worth the $5600 at which point the auction ended but the warranty not transferring might be a turn off!! I'd verify the warranty does not transfer and then inform him of that and offer him $5600.

Well, thats kinda what I thought. I offered him $6000, but he says he wants $6,500. I dont know what the extras are worth though. Thats why I asked you guys. Seems kinda steep to me when you can buy a new one for around $6,500 OTD and know exactly what you're getting.

I agree CJM660. I wouldn't go over 6000.00. Having said that if truly only has 4 hrs. on it "yeah right" or is in very good shape it is still a great deal for the money. It does have some great extras on it.

I'd inform him of the warranty not being able to transfer, that ought to deflate him a little and then maybe he'll accept your offer. I'm kind of confused why someone would spend $400 on the RPM axle and only get a +2. Most people purchase +4's, because most people who buy aftermarket a-arms buy +2's which of course you end up being +4 with both a-arms. Maybe he was wanting to set it up more for trail than MX but yet I notice the 18" beadlocks so I'm thinking he was heading toward MX, oh well!!

I'm kinda like Cannydale, when he says "yeah right" about it having only 4 hours use. I don't know anyone who would do all these mods and then sell it for a loss without putting in some seat time on it. I mean if he broke it in properly, he never even really rode it. Thanks for the advice, I think I'll steer clear of this one.
