Default First Time at Third Gear Pinned

First time to this track and also the first ride since by quad was put back toghter.

I rode with Jeramy Schell and Cory (WP from the Suzuki Forum)

Some Pictures are posted at www.jsmith.net/speed.htm

Cory talked me into trying my first real double. Table tops no problem, doubles problem. I break at almost 40 I heal slower than some of you younger ones. The double had a face about 5 feet on it and the landing was a platform about 25' with a 4' fall away, about 10' past that is a 3' face step-down. Cory said "Just half trottle in third, and you'll be fine, just don't let off the gas. When you land just coast the stepdown."

Well I watched him do it twice and said what the hell. Came around the burm shifted to third and pinned it. Well I have never been 10' in the air before and I had time to think up there "What the *ell am I doing." I landed on the platform and costed over the step down for a SAFE landing.

MY FIRST REAL DOUBLE. whoa who.

I have some video's of Cory doing that monster step-up so as soon as I figure out how to post them I will.

Can't wait to do it again. The quad ran great and has more power than I need.

I can't wait till spring when I can bring the X back out. Consider yourself lucky to be able to ride MX year round. It'd be a dream come true for me.

congrats smitty, dont think I could get myself to do that or not, would have to watch a few hundred times lol.
I did go riding on saturday and for the first time cleared a small step up jump at the track, it was soo fun I just kept going back around a doing it again and again, the faster you hit it the better and the dale pulls so hard in third it was awesome.

Awesome Smitty! Glad to hear you got the quad back and it's running well. Got any pics of you and the speed from that day?
