I dont ever recall stating anything about a speed limit on ANY of the trails here in Michigan,so im not even sure where you come up with that accusation?
All ORV operators have the RESPONSABILITY to operate their Off Road Vehicles in a safe and responsable manner with regard to the safety of not only themselves, but ALL other operators riding on the trail. If you choose to use the trail system as your own personal mini race track, than you will have to deal with any of the shortcomings that may or may not become as a result of your inability to operate within the guidlines of the law.

Or do you just expect public meeting minutes to reflect what subsidized dollars you will or won't accept.....at any given time?
The question is the incorrect formula itself, Muddy and always has been....why won't you speak word one to it?
$1 out of every $16 equals $3 out of every $25....yet all OTHER funding programs "will be allocated per the formula prescribed by the department".
Now is this formula the same one we've been going by for years....or is this some "new" formula only these trainers and the department evidently are privy to? (the former obviously assuming we are all idiots and the latter begging LEGAL questions concerning back-door-handshaked funding agreements that the public just might have to go to court over).

This is not difficult to understand....yet the example here in Michigan obviously shows them asking for the separate and parallel trails....while still claiming that over 40% of 3,000 miles SHOULD NEVER BE TOUCHED AND BE FOREVER DECLARED THEIRS.
Great plan, in their mind...keep expanding the single track without losing a mile to our soon to be over-crowded and (by their own admission) WORN OUT present multi-use sytem (which they would just as soon 'get off' with this paralell single track rather than FIXING same **TOGETHER** with the rest of this 'peon' Michigan orv community. Apparantly its a huge problem for a few. Some wont sleep until 99.9% of the trails are multi use.
Originally posted by: ktmguy70The issue then, Is that most cyclist dont ENJOY wide, over used and muddy trails, and prefer single track. Nothing wrong with that. If you have 85% ATVS and 15% cycles, then theres nothing wrong with having a MAJORITY multi use trails, but also nothing wrong with a bit of single track.
"Me-only" single track is what you're after all right.....and more importantly that this mileage be forever shut out from the rest of this community who seeks to enjoy the same area or experience.
