I dont ever recall stating anything about a speed limit on ANY of the trails here in Michigan,so im not even sure where you come up with that accusation?

All ORV operators have the RESPONSABILITY to operate their Off Road Vehicles in a safe and responsable manner with regard to the safety of not only themselves, but ALL other operators riding on the trail. If you choose to use the trail system as your own personal mini race track, than you will have to deal with any of the shortcomings that may or may not become as a result of your inability to operate within the guidlines of the law.
OK muddy you said no racing on the trail. What speed in your mind is racing? There are a few riders out there who are scary at any speed and some who can go fast and look extremely safe. Each rider has to determine what is safe for them. What would be the short comings of going faster than you approve of Muddy? And is there actually a LAW that says people go slow on the trails in Michigan?

BB are you for or against the charging of parents who "sit in" on the safety classes?

Are you delusional?

Or do you just expect public meeting minutes to reflect what subsidized dollars you will or won't accept.....at any given time?

The question is the incorrect formula itself, Muddy and always has been....why won't you speak word one to it?

$1 out of every $16 equals $3 out of every $25....yet all OTHER funding programs "will be allocated per the formula prescribed by the department".

Now is this formula the same one we've been going by for years....or is this some "new" formula only these trainers and the department evidently are privy to? (the former obviously assuming we are all idiots and the latter begging LEGAL questions concerning back-door-handshaked funding agreements that the public just might have to go to court over).

Whats weak ? If your refering to me?? Im the only mod that will even deal with this thread anymore. At least thats the way it was the last time we (the mods) talked about it. This thread is a lot of work and if I was weak would have tossed it in the trash can a long time ago.

All the 4-wheeled community has ever asked these people is to quit acting like they are 'separate' from the rest of us and that they deserve single track BEYOND those which might PARALLEL existing systems.

This is not difficult to understand....yet the example here in Michigan obviously shows them asking for the separate and parallel trails....while still claiming that over 40% of 3,000 miles SHOULD NEVER BE TOUCHED AND BE FOREVER DECLARED THEIRS.

Great plan, in their mind...keep expanding the single track without losing a mile to our soon to be over-crowded and (by their own admission) WORN OUT present multi-use sytem (which they would just as soon 'get off' with this paralell single track rather than FIXING same **TOGETHER** with the rest of this 'peon' Michigan orv community. Apparantly its a huge problem for a few. Some wont sleep until 99.9% of the trails are multi use.
The problem with your thinking, MWQ...is that the term "multi-use trail" CAN NOT or never will be construed as paralell single-track within these trail systems! (again, working TOGETHER on the same system)

"Me-only" single track is what you're after all right.....and more importantly that this mileage be forever shut out from the rest of this community who seeks to enjoy the same area or experience.

I think you are one of the reasons they seperated themselves from the ohv crowd.

They will let anything that fits on it use it, wont they?
