I dont have a clue...If he things WE have it bad in Mi...try Pa..or even Ohio..I lived in Ohio for 4+ years..the closest LEGAL trail was an hour and a half ONE way.

D-14 does some good things..however when it comes to the track (harescrambles) promoters should'nt treat us quads as a side show to the dirt bikes. It happens waaay to often. Ask any D-14 quad racer...there are certain track promoters that act like we are just wasting their time.

 

I dont deny that there are some issues that need to be resolved between the ATVers and the Dirtbike riders in ANY State,however,what I do detest is the METHOD that BB utilizes to bring these differances to light.

ANYTIME anyone deals with a LARGE number of folks in ANY capacity,there will be times that not everyone will be pleased with the outcome of all the issues.It dont matter if its baseball,girlscouts,church or Off Roading.

But we need to remain CIVIL about it until we have EXAUSTED all other options.Something I dont feel BB understands.

 

Come on " Little Willie", RELAX.... I think Disagree would have been a far more FRIENDLY word to use than " DETEST" don't you ? As far as your buddy's comment about BB hiding behind his computer and feeling safe, he is totally wrong. BB uses his computer as one tool in his pouch. He has probably logged more hands on trail miles in more states than a bunch of you combined. You have to learn something pro or con by doing this and as YOU yourself said, not everybody is going to agree on any or all issues but at least offer them the respect of their personal opinions as they should yours.

Thing is? If 1000 folks said the wall was black and BB said it was yellow, he'd dig for an arguement to validify his statement to the other 999 folks.

Wow... It's been almost a whole day and we haven't heard a word from Blackballed or his alter ego Superman1. Is it just me or does everybody else here think they are the same person?

Ok... On to what this thread is about.

I'm thnking it's a good thing Superman1 used the word Probably in the quoted statement. I can't and won't dispute the work he may or may not have done in other states. I have never ridden outside of Michigan, I have however done a large amount of trail work in Michigan and never met this man. Maybe I'll get to meet him today, maybe that is why he hasn't posted anything here yet because maybe he is on his way to the Gladwin County Commisioners meeting in 2 hours to discuss the county's interest in opening the roads to ORV use. I know anybody who is on top of the ORV politics here in Michigan is going to be there.

Gotta go... I only have a few hours to dust off my secret handshake and I don't want to dissapoint President Skroob, I mean Dick... ahh man...Dark Helmet gonna be pissed I let out the secret handshake, May the Swartz be withya........

I did'nt see EITHER of our Buddies [Superman or BB] at this Political meeting of the minds with the board of commisioners in Gladwin this afternoon.

I DID however see/hear YOU and I also seen/heard Dick there.

I can pretty much tell you the content of their response though..One or BOTH of these guys are going to start crying about how this meeting was kept a secret and they had no way of knowing about it.And either Dick,you,or ME is going to get the BLAME!

Let the blaming begin. At least we 3 are use to it by now.

What could possible be more important than attending a meeting with the Gladwin Commissoners in regards to opening up their County Roadways for our use.[teasing]

Now Superman, if I told you what went on in this meeting and those ''select few'' that were in attendance,than would'nt I be in direct violation of the information BB has told you from the beginning regarding meetings such as this one?

Ok... I'll let everybody know what went on at the meeting.

This was a meeting called by one of Gladwin County's township Supervisors to propose that Gladwin County open their roads to ORV's just like Ogemaw and Iosco county have recently done. Information and concerns were shared between the County Commisioners and the user groups in the audience. The groups present were the Valley Trail Riders M/C a local club, the Cycle Conservation Club, and ATV Off Road. What you will notice in this mix is that two organizations that are supposed to be the evil 2 wheelers were there attempting to get access for ORV's to the county roads. Motorcycles by the way can ride on the roads legally in Michigan by getting a license plate. These folks had nothing to gain by participating in the meeting other than helping their fellow ORV users.

I'm not really sure I got the secret handshake correct though, it looked to me like a regular handshake......

 

Imagine that!

ATVers and DIRT BIKE RIDERS joining each OTHER to SHARE the same common bond and LOVE for the outdoors in the SAME meeting???????????????????????

After reading BBs posts of the hatred that is SUPPOSE to be going on between these two user groups, one would have thought that the cyclists would be sitting on one side of the room while the ATVers sit on the other side. But it never happened that way. I talked with a few dirt bike riders and these guys want the same thing the ATVers want and that is more access to the things that make our outdoor rides much more pleasureable.

And I looked all over,but I never did see the arrogant dirt bike rider with the tooth pick hanging from the side of his mouth.
