Since the new trail mileage seems to be a foregone conclusion

The groups that form the MMRC have come up with some suggestions which will be presented at the next ORV Advisory Board meeting.
What were their suggestions? SE Michigan? UP?
The suggestions I saw, in the draft document, included areas where the trail system already exists - adding more trail in areas that have usage substantiating more trail; lots of ORV Route and Route connectors.
I didn't see a SE MI riding area or trail proposal.

How bout in the Thumb of Michigan (Sanilac County, Huron County, etc...)? There are some pristine areas out there that are asking to have ORV trails installed.

Thank you 2TrakR for your reply. I have emailed the DNR about ORV trails before. Just from what muddy's post he made it sound like joining a club was the only way.

I have emailed the DNR on my thoughts about the new 25% more ORV trail.

IMO I think most just buy the ORV sticker/license and go riding the ORV trails, with no thoughts about how the trails got there.

So just because we buy a ORV sticker/license, we have no say what will happen with orv use? Unless we join some super secret club END OF QUOTE.

No,thats not what im saying. Im saying that YOUR responsability as a ORV user does NOT end with the purchase of your 16.25 cent ORV sticker IF you want to make advances to your sport. You need to get INVOLVED in the politics of the sport. The way you do that is by joining the club of YOUR choice and staying on top of the politics of the sport. If there are no clubs out there that fit your needs [like in Blackball's case] than you should concider forming your OWN club with your OWN agenda's.. Trouble is, I've been telling BB this for years to form his own club because EVERY club he joins, does not fit his idea of what a club should be,so in that case, he should form his OWN club, but instead, he just comes into the FEW various forums that he's not been banned from and tells everybody else what their character defects are,all the while, doing absolutely NOTHING himself to get a solution to his issues.

Nice little condescending attitude you have there. It's no wonder so many people in the UP detest the LP'ers. You (and people like you) are the reason....

Get over it. It was a joke. I'm pretty sure everyone realized that when I wrote it. If not, my bad. You live in Wisconsin anyways so quit crying about me makin' a joke at the U.P.'s expense.

EDIT: By the way, I really could'nt care less if they detest the LP'ers anyways. They oughtta just be happy were spending our money up there anyways. You have got to be the whiniest little bitch I have ever read something from on a forum.

I agree with ya there. If someone wants to make a change, or try to anyways, they should get involved. Whether it be writing a letter or making a phone call etc.... What I would like to see from your group, and I think a few people here would agree with me since it does affect us all, is better communication from your group with the ORV public. Since your lobbying efforts, good or bad, do affect us all and your group does claim to represent the majority of ATV users in the state of Michigan, from the DNR's perspective anyways, I would think that its the ATVOCC's (not sure about the acronym there but you know who I'm talking about) responsibility to let us know what their trying to get done. Agree?

Oh no. It's people like you why people in the U.P. don't like anyone in the L.P.......hahahahahaha lol

Anyways, I really like goin' to the U.P. just because of the vast nothingness that is there (or is'nt there...whatever). The trails up there, especially for snowmobiling, are just about the best your going to find anywhere in the country. But I would actually consider the place part of Canada. I actually heard somethin' kinda funny at work the other day about the U.P. actually, did you know that there is a large number of people in the U.P. that wanna separate from the rest of Michigan and create their own state? Thought it was pretty funny.... Guess their tired of us making fun of them. lol

Still it sounds to me like Mud is telling us that we have to join a super secret ORV club to have a say with what will happen with orv use.

That is not what 2TrakR posted, I tend to believe what 2TrakR posted on this topic.
