The Korean government made a request. We bowed down to it and sent a former President there. The N. Koreans took lots of pictures of Clinton arriving and departing. Who (other than the reporters) benifitted the most from this whole charade (put on by the N. Koreans)? A country that is threatening world peace by manufacturing nuclear weapons and putting on them on the market. Every time they shoot a new missile off they are advertising their wares. Iran and others are very interested. This is the bigger picture that many are failing to see. We acquiesced to their demands and the N. Koreans won a small victory. In that part of the world it's called saving face. And they did it big time.

So the original charge was illegal entry to their country. And the punishment was 12 years of hard labor.

You know, maybe if our country would take that sort of stance to illegal immigration, it wouldn't be such a problem.

And I mean that for all of our political parties.

Well that way we would still have the farm workers and laborers for the next 12-20 years anyway!
On second thought it would probably cost us (the taxpayers) more to have them here that way then having them here illegally, because the government would be involved!
