What the he11 is wrong with these people?
Ebay takes on new ads each day that total in the millions---each day! What a logistical nightmare to police it but I think they do a good job. I sell lots of stuff on there as a power seller and the fraud things find me pretty regularly. They are easy to recognize and I just forward them on the spoof@ebay and they are dealt with.
In the hundreds of transactions I have made, I haven't been ripped off yet. Hint: change your password regularly.
