DrDune and BALDMIKE, I just want to say that I truly enjoy your exchange of pleasantries on this forum. I assume that neither one of you takes any of this seriously, boy I hope not. Politically I agree with BALDMIKE but still enjoy DrDune's outlook. Let me wish both of you a Merry Christmas, and everyone else here also.
One Question... Does any one here think that they can actually change some ones mind on political belief's?

Ohh happy day
Well BSB How long should it take to get the job finished? you apperantly think they should be done by now. do tell how you propose to do that? changing a persons political views is a near impossible task. it does take time and can be done.
Uhm, how are we gonna hit Iran and N.Korea when we can't even finish the job in Iraq? Or Afghanistan for that matter. You live in a fantasy world...

I was asked why i dont beleave in spreading democracy. well, i dont beleave I, or anyone else has the right to FORCE their beliefs on anyone else. this in no way states i dont beleave in war, when needed. i dont beleave hitler had the right, nor do we as a country. I can tell you this though. we attached a country that really had no real quick threat against us. now, 10 years down the road, who knows. as of right now, the u.n. was there, inspecting, and we told them to leave. what about that was right. what might of happened if we spent 200 billion in afganastan, with all the troops? i would be willing to bet osama would not be breathing, and the camps would not be reforming like they are now.
I do beleave in war, when needed. I have to question the lack of care for human life though. if a president takes his nation to war, he should be willing to risk his own life, or that of his children. If your country is not to the point of being overrun by that country, then why risk american young men? we needed to be in afganistan, but in no way should this country be bogged down in a **** hole like iraq! no plan to get out, no plan on how to win, no plan on money. it is overspent, underworked, and run as badly as a war can be run. We sit and watch more and more young americans die do to that. now our men are undersupplied, and not enough of them to protect our own bases, more or less an election. they are told to go fight, then told they cant come home, and are FORSED to stay as much as 6 months longer than originally told. all the while the terrorists just drive over the border, and attach us at will! to me, this is a sad time in american history.
seems to me to quickly becoming another viet nam. no plan for victory, with a moron in charge not even willing to admit he has screwed up a few times. no plan for getting out. you might be proud to have such a man running your fellow americans, but i for one am not.
god bless this country, and god bless them poor soulders that are trying to fight for bushs so called freedom in iraq. i wish them all well, and only hope that the moron we have to run this country can pull his head from his rectom and find it screwed back to his neck. man of the year, for the terrorists maybe, but not for the country that i live in, and the men who fight for its safty.
