I tell you what, I really like this John Rodriguez kid, or as he likes to call himself; J-Rod[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]He plays with an intensity I've never seen before. He's played three major league games with base hits in each and it only took him these three games to hit his first MLB homer. I love his quote to the media the other day saying "They'll have to rip this jersey off me." I truly believe he's here to stay with our aging outfield and VERY solid play. I like him. Move over A-Rod, J-Rod's the next big thing.

 

Red- Hey I like him so far to. Did you know that he has spent 8 years in the minors? He was really tearing it up down there. I hope he can keep his pace and make a showing for the birds. He would make a nice addition to the team IMO. He will have to put on a show to get in the game before Mabry or Taguchi, but I like him and hope he does stay for a while. "The next big thing", might be a little to early to tell. I agree that he is making a good showing and has great potential.

 

No, he's probably not really "the next big thing", I was just kidding. I do think he will develop into a solid player in the near future though.

Ok, if this kid doesn't get either Walker or Sanders' starting jobs next season, I'm going to be amazed. He's performing like a stud and on a twisted ankle.

 

Yep, he's the first in the NL this year to win 15 games (15-4).... He should win 20+ this year....[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

I would guess that Walker is going to retire after this season. He will become a free agent next year and he will come with a high price tag. He might stick around for one more season, but I dont think it will be with the Cards. I would like to see J-Rod[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] as a permanant player in the Cards line-up.

 

Well I was referring to J-Rod, but Carpenter is a beast too.

 

The Cards aren't going to be on KMOX next year..... What do you think of that???
