The 4 valve blower Cobras are the best way to make huge horsepower numbers. Nice street car, all comfy and perfect, and more horsepower than you can imagine. Seen some 9 second street cars like that with full interior and all the comforts of home.

 

I don't like Mustangs, but even I'll admit that the '03 - '05 Cobras are the epitome of the modern muscle car. Slap on a smaller pulley, a chip, headers, and some slicks and you are in the low 11's.

 

My personal preference is Oldsmobile. I like the 1968 (515 produced) and 1968 (2500 produced) Hurst Olds and the 1970 (2500 produced) Rallye 350. There are also many very nice 442 packages available. The Hurst Olds had more torque than any pony car, any year they were produced and are very rare and desirable today.

 

my dad when he was like 17 he told me a story bout him and a friend and he had a datsun 240z cuz his dad wouldnt let him have a chevelle 396 so he got that but him and his friend were goin up the road and didnt let off the gas for like 4 miles and he was scared to look at the speedometer so he asked his friend to but his friend said he couldnt n my dad was like why? n his friend said"cuz im in the floorboard,but finally he did look and (speedo went to 150) he was doin 160 ! ..and rememebr this is a V6 but it had like 300 hp...

dang this post has got alot of response lol ....but my dad told me a story of a guy and his bro and 2 best friends..and they had a charger 440 ..and they were goin so fast that when they went over a hill they got air-born and wrecked.the driver he killed his bro and 2 best friends....and now he has to live with that..so dont go fas all the time

i cant wait till the 06-07 shelby comes out thats gonna be awesome ..475+ hp!! yea the cobra is fast 390 hp is alot if you think about it ...we test drove one and almst got sued cuz we smoked the tires

anyone been to floyd garrets muscle car museum? it was awesome up there..i got to see a boss 429...426 superbird gt500 gt350 copo camaro....yenko camaro..454 chevelle..elvis's first limo..ford torino talledaga....440 six pack cude and any other muscle car u can think of

I have never been a mustang fan, however, I do like the new body style[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img] kinda old mix with new[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] However, when you talk about muscle cars, I think you gotta actually go back to the late 60's to early 70's to really appreciate the power these cars had[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

 

I had a 1970 NovaSS with the 375 horse 396 and muncie 4-speed...fun car, but my dream is to own either a 1970 ChevelleSS454 or 69 ChevelleSS396 with the aluminum head L-89 option...Someday!

 

I had the rare priveledge of driving the knew FORD GT and if I had 200k laying around I would own one!

 

yea..but the stupid..iraqies had to charge so much for gas(no offence and iraqies altho america can and will stompyou =) ) and then all the muscle cars died but now there coming back i love any muscle car it doesnt matter to me....i love the deep rumble of a v8 it could put me to sleep ..untill the driver hits the gas lol
