Honda Cr500 motor versus suzuki quadzilla 500?
Maybe because it is in a zuki frame!?! I have my 87 cr500 since 88, but in 95 I busted it up. The motor wasn't damaged, but she was tired. Since then I have gotten the jug resleeved and bought all the parts to rebuild it but never did. I don't want to put it back in a bike frame, I'll kill myself. I have had a couple different quads since then, and I have always wanted to put it in a quad frame and my first choice is a 250r. I have a friend that has done it and strongly suggested that I didn't because of the vibration problem. I put it on the back burner for a while. I want to put it in something, but what? I have been looking into a zuki frame, because I have heard that it is much better in that frame for some reason. It is just sittin there, I need to use this awsome motor in something. Stock this year motor is 61hp, and with little mod work you can get 68 without spending much of anything. How many others out there with a cr500 motor in a zuki frame, and how is it?

Funny you say that, another friend of mine put a cr250 motor in a zuki frame. He said it was extremly easy. I love the 250r frames, but the suzuki frame seems to be more suited for the large cr500 motor. This will work out better also because I can find them all over the place for much cheaper. I will be sure to fill it with foam. Just looking at the frames they look much heavier, I wonder if that has more to do with it?

Zilla frame is a bad idea
the problem with the zilla frame is that they were built too ridgid to take the power the 500 puts out... I have a CR500 engine in a 400EX frame. Any frame you choose will need some tweaking so why not get one with some decent geometry to start with... just a thought
