i would befinately run stock fibers, replace the basket depending on wear. i ran a barnett dirt digger clutch in my shee for about 6mo... one of the fibers broke. the dirt digger also has half or less as much friction material, dispite more surface area.
i think the main cause of the failure was that the dirt digger fibers were alum core, after it flexed enough times it just broke
