But the 4 wheel version of a hayabusa, wouldn't allow me to run the class I would like. (250cc-500cc)
The whole concept here, is to spank the competition, not intimidate them.
I would even prefer minimal amounts of chrome, and a flat black paint scheme.
Something about a "sleeper" that appeals to me, and suits my needs.

well if you decide that you will go up to the 501cc and up class then thats a great option just paint the engine a dull color. for the class you are talking about try an old lt250 year around 1987 you can make those real nice. a friend of mine built up one of those to go around 100 in an 1/8 of a mile. it looks like a real sleeper to

you would have to really put some money into the r6 engine to beat those shee's in 300ft. drag's.My Zilla has taken out gs1100's,kz1000's and a gs600 crotch rocket. You would be better off in the long run getting a shee or a Zilla. If you can run alky there at the drag's a honda 250 with the right builder can spank their tail's also.I've ran into a guy that had Vito's Performance build his and that thing screamed,4.2 sec. in the 300ft @70 plus mph.

busa's are fast, but for the money you'd need to put into one just to make it fit in a frame plus the motor work and turbo it would be better to build a big fat banshee. One of the are in the UAE and it still doesnt run the times the large 2-strokes do.

all you people who are saying a crotch rocket couldnt beat a heavily modded banshee (150 hp or whatever) are wrong. The R1 or ZX-10R can do 0-60mph in 2.5 seconds good luck doing that with your banshee. 1/4 mile times for the bikes are 9.7 seconds, again good luck doing that with your quad. if you put a modern day literbike engine in your quad chassis, got the gearing right a 150 hp banshee couldnt even touch you.

Dude, you are not paying attention. They are talking about putting a cycle engine in a quad frame and only running 300ft. Anyone who would run a quad against a bike like those for 1/4 mile would be nuts. The tide really changes when you go transplanting the motors into a quad.

i think if you could get the engine into the right frame it would still kick *** in 300ft.

i dont think your hearing right. The fastest motors in the 300ft are gsxr's. But for the people on this forum they arent going to go out and buy angelina's motor's, which are the only motors running well in quad bikes. THESE motors are putting out 600hp and run low to mid 3's. You can take a 880 banshee based motor with 200hp and run 3.5 and 3.6s all day. I hope you understand that the odds arent great that any of you will spend the 20G just on a motor so with that being said crotch rocket motors, have their place, but only after putting 20K into one, which none of you people will.

I'm glad I don't have such high expectations here.
An engine just under 500cc, and capable of consistant 85-90 mph in 400ft.
Although 100mph would be nice....
