I have a question regarding Proflo and K&N adapter plates. A friend of mine has a 1999 Banshee which has a K&N filter in it. It also has a plastic adapter plate which the filter was attached(similar to the one from ProFlo but not metal). Did this plate come with the K&N filter kit ? I am under the impression that the stock filter is the same setup that comes on Warriors(the poor drop in system). Does anyone have any clues ?

Nope I don't think so, seems like I saw a plastic adapter for Bansheeeees in James L Luckeys catalog or Shadetree atv catalog.

As far as the K&N, does anyone know of a K&N filter that clamps directly on to the Pro Flow adapter plate for a Wolverine or Warrior. If so, what is the filter no. and where can i get one?

I have a 99 banshee with a KnN. The instructions with the filter had me cut the basket off the stock filter mount and bolt it to the airbox with 2 bolts and nuts at the top exactly like a proflo plate. The only difference I can see is that it is white plastic and the $60 plus plate is aluminum.

Yeap, it was james lucky catalog page #25, made by dura-blue, cost was $58.00 which includes the air filter.

BOOMER, why do you want a K&N filter, just curious.
