I just got a new carb and it came with a throttle cable. I adjusted both adjusters all the way out,the one on top of the carb and the one on the thumb throttle, and the slide on the carb isn't quite all the way up.The carb is a Mikuni 38mm FS for my 250r atc. Is there something i can do to get the slide to open up all the way.

When you look down the throat of your carb, you see the carb slide. The slide controls the amount of air coming into your engine. The carb needle is connected to the slide. When I push the thumb throttle, my slide isn't moving all the way to the top. Hence I am not getting all the air or fuel I could be. There are two adjustments and both are all the way out. I was wondering if there was something I was missing or doing wrong or a trick. Sorry if the first message wasn't clear.

Sometimes they take the thumb throttle top off and grind to make the travel farther,,take the top off and see if it's hitting,if so grind there a lil
