Default RZR first time in the snow.....Throttle STUCK WIDE OPEN !!!!

My throttle also stuck too!! It was sitting out and i fired it up, no problem. Went into reverse but missed and hit neutral but didnt know it. I tapped the gas and my throttle stuck wide open. If i were in reverse I would have wound up in the lake. I went to fire it up again and the throttle was wide open. Same thing 3 times. It was so cold the throtle cable was stuck. Got it in the garage and warmed up and wiggled it and it was fine. Hope this doesnt happen again.

I wonder how any other people have had issues with it too. If enough, then yes it would be a recall.

OK, what I found is that the throttle cable is completly sealed at the engine so if water gets in, it's not going to get out by itself.

So, if you get in water above the pedal and water makes it's way into the top of the cable you will need to inject some cable lube or something to get rid of the water. I had been in Kentuky and had water above my gas pedal. The moisture stayed in there and when I drove it out of my heated garage into the 15 degree weather, it didn't take long for it to freeze.

Polaris replaced my cable under warrantee ( there was nothing wrong with it visibly ). When they put the new one on, they filled it with cable lube to prevent moisture from getting back in.

So, thanks to Polaris for standing behind your products. I have purchased a lot of units from this dealer and have sent many friends and family their way, so they treat me pretty well.

BUT, remember guys.....make sure that you lube you cables. ;-)

I had it happen to me,thawed it out went to use it latter it was frozen in the idle position. Took it to the dealer & they injected lube in it & has been fine for over a month now.
