Default 500 clutch kit help!!!!!!!!!!

When I installed my HPD aggressive clutch kit. It is not supposed to tack up in RPM's before it engages is it? I did what the instructions said several times. Nothing has changed. Anyone think of what I could have done wrong?

How many rpm's are we talking?? A stiffer spring will raise the engagement rpm.

I don't know if the last message got sent. It is taching more than it used to. I don't have a tachometer to tell you the exact. But I do know it lags. But the guy did say it was not for slow riding. So is what you are saying that it is normal for it to tach before it engages?

Which kit did you get? It shows 3 for your machine. Yes a higher engaement is normal and takes some getting use to.

Default 500 clutch kit help!!!!!!!!!!

I go the ATVCK5PH 500 Scrambler High Engagement one. I just got off it for taking it for a ride, the guy said the front end would be hard to keep on the ground, but it didn't seem to come up on mine. Maybe I need to readjust the 1/3 turn and try it then. thank you very much.

It will engage at a higher rpm with the clutch kit. And it is something that you will get use to. Don't be surprised if you stall it every now and then. Believe me, if you practice a bit, you will be able to wheelie with ease. Try sitting toward the back of the seat. Then pull up on the bars and give it hell. Just make sure you are holding one. I just uploaded some pictures on my site from a few weeks ago of doing some wheelies here

BigBad is right, it takes some getting used to. You may need to check the secondary and make sure you got it wound right, it is easy to get it wrong.

Thank you guys, I rode it today and I love it. It runs like a scared rabbit. As soon as my new wheels and tires come in thursday or friday, it will hook up way better than my bald stock tires. lol. I will post some pictures of my new wheels, and me doing some wheelies. Right now I am out to the garage to put on my Renthals that came today. Again, thank you both very much.
