The two that i can think of right off hand are as you mentioned amsoil (you can order it directly of their websight... www.amsoil.com ) or maxima racing oils. That can also be ordered from their website. http://www.maximausa.com/products/ge...incaselube.asp. As for finding it it locally in an autoparts store, walmart, ect. i'm not sure if they would carry it or not. I've looked in advanced auto and napa locally with no success. Good luck

Hey NC, are you sure they are not reffering to the counterbalance oil as being 10-30? Polaris does spec 10w-30 or there own 0w-40 oil for use in the counterbalancers on the 400. They have never spec'd that for use in the transmissions though...to the best of my knowledge.

Well, had a chance to check my manuals and I was half correct. The factory Polaris manual that came with my bike says use the Polaris Chaincase Oil, but it also says I have a dip stick and only need 12oz. I don't have a dipstick and it takes 32 oz. so... Anyway, the Hayne's manual I have says to use 10W-30 for the tranny and the counterbalance, so I guess I will go back to the Polaris oil to be on the safe side. Thanks everyone for the heads up and straightening me out. Later.
