Belt?

I'm gonna install a new belt this weekend.....Do I just need to get a stock replacement belt or do they make a better belt.....I'm a pretty big guy and i'm also gonna be installing a rtr stage 1 kit in a few week....got to install the kit on my sons first....Thanks again

Unless you have a highly modified machine, a stock belt will work fine. They are all the inproved spliceless design now. If you have a lot of mods and are making a lot of horsepower, a Kevlar belt from HPD is a good choice. Or you can get the same GATES belt from NAPA for cheaper. The Gates # for non EBS Kevlar belt is 19AT4090

1.5 years and no damage to the clutches. It can cause damage if the clutch is not set up right. More slippage will mean more wear but with a properly tuned clutch and/or clutch kit then wear is very minimal. Or you can just go with the stocker!

I just purchased the Napa kevlar belt and i must say it is very hard to tell the difference between the HPD one that i had.I have been running the kevlar belt for over 2 years with no wear on the clutches.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]
