Default '99 scrambler 400 - :( screwed up cylinder head

yeah i was a dumbass and hand tightend my spark plug after the previous one fouled out. So it vibrated loose and poped out screwing up the begining of the threading on the cylinder head. Should i try to fix it or just get a new one? And are there any better alternatives to a OEM one? I found one at Partsland for 119.99. Anybody got any ideas?

take a spark plug tap, coat it heavily with grease, then run it in and clean it up. Dont go all the way through and any small pieces will get trapped in the grease. That's all you need to do. Ther thread size is 14mm. Bubba

It is actually 14x1.25mm. The 14 is the diameter and the 1.25 is the distance in mm between each thread.

You have the perfect excuse to get the billet head.
