Buying a new clutch from HPD soon and I don't know if I have to get the clutch puller or does it just make the job easy?

Got to have it (or adaptation of one) to pull the primary clutch, but you should not need one for the secondary clutch.

Where is the best place to look for a puller? Would a local dealer sell them?

Some people from other forums say that they have gotten them from dealers, but my local dealer won't sell them. I got mine from EPI. I think they are a little pricy for what you get, but they work like a charm. According to the ones who got them from dealers at cost, they were about half what I paid for mine. I think all polaris primary pullers are the same so you may be able to find one used or on ebay. Some people say they just use a bolt with the same threads, but I just went for the puller.

Are you installing an agressive clutch kit from HPD or replacing the primary clutch itself? I just installed the kit on my Scrambler today. I did not have to remove the primary clutch to do this, I did remove the secondary clutch to install a new helix and spring. No puller was needed for doing this.

Junt went thru the clutch process on my Polaris, get a 4 or 5 inch bolt from your local hardware or Nut&Bolt dealer. It is 3/4" fine thread. Use a spacer in front of the bolt - about 4 inches or so. Tap the bolt a little as your are tightening.
