I'm running a 700 belt on both my SP400 and the Scrammy. The only difference I notice is in the final downshift there is a little "whine" as the inside grooves of the 700 belt meet up with the shaft on the primary clutch. As far as any better than other belts - I don't know that they are any better - some say they are stronger and will last longer - I just happen to have had 700 belts when I needed to put these on.

I heard a long time ago on one of these web sites that the 700 belt was the way to go. After replaceing a couple stock belts and the hpd heavy duty belt they sell, I decided to go with the 700 belt. It has the top cogs to help cooling I believe and haven't had to replace it since, thats been quite a while now. The only strange thing I've noticed is that when I open up my cover the belt still looks good. lol. Some people will say the harder compound will cause pre mature wear on the clutch sheeves, but the 700 has the same clutch as all the others just with a different set up. I haven't noticed any strange grooves or wear in the sheeves.
