I still say, redesign the whole thing from the ground up. No half a** effort to make a slightly faster heavy POS. I don't mean to put down the Scrammy cuz it's great. I just would be very upset if it is basically the same thing with bold new graphics and a slightly faster engine. It's gotta be like the Predator Venn diagram...it's gotta have the sweet spot.

My thoughts exactly. I was thinking about this last night. If they, or I should say if I were to redo the Scram, I would use a different frame, maybe the Preditor, get ride of the Struts for sure and use a higher HP, quik reving motor, while trying to keep the lbs. down. I would think that the Preditor frame would be stronger and lighter.

All right, time to get the rumor mill going again. Just got back from my dealer, and he dropped a few more tidbits on me. There is going to be a new Scrambler. It won't be out until this fall. It is supposed to be a 600cc motor. It's supposed to be fuel injected. It will be totally redesigned. It should still be selectable 4x4. He would not give or could not give or did not know of any more information.

Direct injection watercraft and outboards, along with semi-direct injection sleds have shown that the 2-stroke is alive and well. Meets all emissions standards, burns less fuel and oil, and has quicker throttle response. It's time for a quad with a new tech 2-stroke. The 500 Liberty twin with SDI even seriously detuned for atv use would still smoke any stock quad out there.
