What your dealer told you is true, its not in the book. However all other sportsman have those bolts. Did you also notice that you didn't get the Spanner Wrench for the rear shock adjustment, nor did you get the plug for the bottom of the tool box under the seat. None of these items are in the parts book, dont mean its right it just means oops!

All this being said I still wouldn't trade the EFI fer nothin!!

 

I asked about the plug on the tool box b/c mine filled up with mud one day and my dealer looked over all the new sportsmans on the showroom floor and none of them had one. I used duct tape over the hole and haven't had a problem yet.

Not only didn't I get a spanner wrench, I didn't get the handle for the spark plug socket either.

I just checked for the missing bolts, yep, not there. When I go to the dealer on friday I will have to check out some other Sportsmans to see if they have these bolts. Seems Polaris decided to cut some corners on it's flagship model.


BTW, I also have V 2.1 and the build date was 12/4/03.
