Hey bosy22 does your Explorer have 10" of ground clearence and the ability to haul 300lbs plus a ridder and pull a 1200lb trailer. Probably not. Sure is a good thing it goes fast!

 

Read the AC 500 review and then go out and get one of those. Dealers will deal on 2000 AC 500's right now. You can get them for $5600 if you have the cash. It has the largest rack capacity (300Lb) plus 1100 pound towing capability.

 

I agree with that, not a true utility. You would never convince me that a 2 stroke, chain driven quad is a good choice for utility.

A rancher is a much better choice!

 

The Xplorer is an excellent coice! Threre is one in our riding group and it is a very capable machine. Loads of power and great in the mud! He is the one that pulls us out on the river-runs! If I had the $$$$$ I would have one!

 

it is a great quad for anything the 400 Xplorer.

 

It depends on what kind of riding he wants to do.

If he wants to go all out and rock-n-roll on the fast track, I suggest a Honda TRX 400. Fast, reliable bike and rated real good by everyone.

If he wants to do a lot of trail riding and go for the speed also, and he's stuck on Polaris, go for the 400 Scrambler.

But one things for sure. he's gonna have a blast no matter what he gets.
