even installed new air filter. my other was a mess. that didn't help either

 

i think it's either dirty or needs an adjustment. how hard is it to lift the clip on the notch? the plugs never quit sparking all together it just boggs way down like its getting choked severly. i'm gonna take the carb off and clean it adn maybe lift the clip. Any info would be appreciated. how about's do you get the throttle cable and choke cable off??

 

You can get at the needle without taking the carb off. Take the cover and snorkle off the air box, two screws on the dome on top of the carb, remove dome and spring, remove diaphram, pull out plunger and dump out needle. Move the "c" clip up two notches and be sure to move the plastic washer up also then put everything back in and your good to go......

 

i'm crossing my fingers. took apart the carb and i had a jet that was about 70% blocked. i blew it out with my mouth, stuck'er back in and it's running like a top. knock on wood. i appreciate all the info everyone has given me. i'll surely be back adn try to help some others : )
