I bought a set of mud lites about a year ago. I love them. My bike is 2wd and I run in the woods, mud,water etc. So normal tires were out of the question. Today I tried to buy a set of mudlites for the front. They make a set but they are 1 inch. wider. I am not realy liking that. I want superior handling in the woods, and mud. What do I do? THe tire sale man tried to sell me a set of hole shot fronts. They were around $60ea. My steering already sucks. I am not sure if it is the nature of the 97 model and it has been updated now or what. I put in all new steering upper and lower bushings. I still need to replace the tie rod ends. I greese them, but I think they may be shot. Anyway my stock tire is 7 in. wide and the replacement mudlites are 8 inches. I know I will feel that on a 2wd wont I. What do I need to do?

 

I doubt you'd feel the 1 inch difference but I'm wondering why you'd want a tire with as big a lug as a Mudlite on the front of a 2wd? Maybe someone on here has them and can comment, but those big lugs are designed for forward bite on a driving wheel. Doesn't seem like what you'd want on the front of a 2wd. Have you looked at the ITP ATR's? Or SpyderTracs?

 

I used to have maxxis razors on mine, and they worked very well. I highly suggest these tires.

 

I had Kenda Klaws and like them also.
