OK. First, you do not need to press the reverse override to have 4x4 in reverse. Second, flip in reverse? cant even imagine that.
cant imagine it......wow

I never imagined that I would have crashed into the tree that I never saw.

they are easy to flip in reverse,,,,,,very easy......especially if you have never done it before (because your not expecting it)

Default 4x4 in reverse for a scrambler..

>RE: bypassing reverse over ride switch

I'm not sure if I want to admit this, but I put a trail pipe and a clutch kit on my 400 Scrambler, then took it to the shop to have it re-jetted. When I picked it up the mechanics asked if I needed help putting it on the trailer. I told them no, so they walked back into the shop. Since the new clutch spring made the clutch engage at a higher rpm than before, I had to push the "reverse over ride button" to back up. When the clutch engaged I immediately went over the handlebars and landed in front of the Scrambler. My son thought it was the funniest thing in the world. I was just glad the mechanics were already back in the shop, and there were no other witnesses...

Take Care,
Lorrin

Very old... but very funny stuff right there...

I guess I will keep my button and a low clutch engagement.

I'm too old for any trips over the bars that I didn't earn outright... lol
