anyone heard of a polaris cyclone??
Post some pics if posible. Pics could help determine on if it is worth fixing up. I owned two of them and restored 1 to very good condition. It would be cheaper to buy a used 400 or something than what I went through. What I learned was invaluable. It was faster stock for stock than the Polaris Tblzer 400. Mine was speedoed at about 69.5 mph on hard pack sand.

Up until the Predator, the cyclone was the fastest Polaris made. Most think the Sport/Scrambler was the fastest. A cyclone weighed 400lbs(a TB weighs 460). It also came from the factory with a clutch kit, racing pipe, a big carb, ported head, and it revved way higher than a TB 250. A TB makes around 22hp@5800rpm. A cyclone made 32hp@7000rpm. I am not sure how much torque a TB makes but a Cyclone probably makes a lot more.
Fishslab, how much faster in a 100yrd drag was it then a Scrambler 400?

In 100yd it was only a couple mph faster at most, but I was still getting the clutches sorted out at the time. In 100 plus yards it would start to walk away from my buddies 400 and my 500. I wanted to put the motor in a friends Tblzr 250 frame, but it did not work out when it came time to sell. I have half of the other Cyclone motor on my Xplorer 4x4.
