Im in the same dilema.The eiger just won the shootout but the sportsman got 3rd.The eiger is powerful but the sp is sooo comfy riding..

My brother-in-law has a 400 eiger and after we went on our first trail ride he was ready to trade it for a sportsman. He loved the way my 700 eat the trials up and how smooth it was.

I understand your looking at a 400 I would think the 400 & 700 sportsman should have the same quality ride. Thats what I was trying to say he liked the comfort of the irs over his straight axle.
