Bert, I guess a few of the folks here think you can just add 200 cc's and go with it...LOL. Polaris is doing their best to get away from the "unreliable Quadmaker syndrome" They can't afford to rush "The new Flagship". Ride'em hard Polcat

Twisting the centers out of the rims? What are they doing, putting the wheels in huge vice grips and giving it full throttle? Some how I don't think so. 78 hp? What is this thing, a four cylinder? They should have been able to account for the extra horsepower and build a driveline to handle it. This is a company that makes 150 hp snowmobiles with belt drives. I find it very difficult to believe any of this. What next? "New Corvette, production delays due to too much power! I guess we should use a 9" rear end instead of this 6.5" we got out of the 4-banger Chevy S-10!"

according to my calculations the sp700 would produce about 53hp if tuned the same way as the 500ho. i figure this based on 40% increase of 38hp. 78hp sounds a little much, i think this guy is making up stories. how would a guy from texas know whats going on in northern minnesota??

I talked to someone today at a polaris dealer about that 700 v twin motor. He said that they way he heard it. It is going on the polaris ranger
atv as it needs more horse power. that will be there first use of this motor on any kind of atv. I think that you guys that are drulling over a sp700, for the immediate future, like 2001, should just be happy with your sp500 ho atv's. I don't see any new xpedition that I have heard of so I am going to stop dreaming about my dream machine for now to. rangerchet

ps: I took my xpedition 425 cc out bird hunting today. I saw 13 grouse and shot 1 bird. the only one i shot at.
