Having second thoughts about my Sportsman 800??
I also posted a simmilar topic in Suzuki, I would like some unbiased opinoins (if that's possible) please.
I like my 800 but purchased a Suzuki King Quad this weekend for the wife. First comment was WOW, the KQ feels more fun to ride, agil, lighter... Sad to say this but she was pulling on the 800 (WTF)?
Is the 800 just that much better in the mtn's or what, where is the justification in the $ for the 800?? Please give your opinions.
Thanks.

I owned a 02 POl 700 as well as most reciently a Vinson. this is my opinion. the pol was better for workloads and was like a cadilac on the bumps. the Vinson was more responsive and alot more fun to ride. I knew what the Vinson was doing benieth me all the time. the Poo would weight shift in the corners(didnt like). I am short so I didnt like the upright feel that the poo had compared to the Suzuki. I know, some are saying that he is talking about a 800 Vs KQ, but a 700 and Vinson are more or less the same chassis. It is really going to come down to how you want the quad to perform for you. I like the rigid sporty feel when others may not. anyway, have fun either way.

I coudn't care less about Polaris but I have an 800. Before I bought it I took the KQ, Rincon, 660 Grizz, & BF for a long ride..................The KQ & Rincon felt like silly little toys to me, they felt very tippy & sat too low. I like the Grizz but the Brute Force was just that, the thing had power to burn like the SP800, I chose the 800 because of the storage, tires, rims, lights, & looks.

Were not all too brand loyal. Its that most of us probably have never ridden the 800 or the KingQuad. I haven't really heard much about reviews of the KingQuad. Sadly, about all I have heard is people complaining about the reverse issue or die hard suzuki fans that say "it is the best ever." As far as the acceleration between these two, they should be comparable considering the engine size and weight difference between the SP and King. Snogimp's review was very unbiased.

If you want responses you should give it a bit more time.....2 hours in the middle of the day....... most of us work during the day [duh] !
Sorry I have only tried the KQ and not the 800 yet........ I could compare it to my 400 [ that I love ] but that was not the question!
It sounds like you bought the 800 without trying the KQ first?

Well .....my 400 rides softer ....and I like the awd better ... but that KQ just smoked me ...... left me way back . Also I was able to sling that KQ around alot better .....more sporty for sure and more nimble . I really liked the KQ , a great bike for sure . Has a few bugs by the sounds of it but....any new bike will have a few ...
