You need a second set of hands to change the settings. You take the snap ring off and set the spring in the holes marked 2 on the helix and 2 on the clutch. You will have to preload the spring by turning the shive half facing you 1/3 turn counterclockwise and line up the big slpine and push the helix down and then hold it while you put the snap ring back.I would just do the primary spring first and see if it was better. But if you want to try the secondary go for it.

the guy at the dealership ordered me a white. he said i wouldnt like a green with the stock weights. so, ig ot a white and it will be in on friday and i also ordered a service manual. maybe the manual will show how to set the scondary nice and clearly and how to put in a new spring and a new belt. i havent ever dealt with auto quads before, only snowmobiles and manual quads.

I would have told the dealer to stuff it and give you what you wanted.Or call Ritter and get a Dalton black/white (close to a green). The white will be an improvement but not like the green and it will work fine with stock weights set like that it will get you close to 6200 rpms on top and a good engagment. The white will get you about 5900-6000 top rpm and decnt engagement.

wait, so would the green add top speed? or lower top speed or just stay the same. and your right, im gonna call thema nd have them change the order to a green instead of a white. the guy told me that the green would engage real hard and jus have the tires break loose and he said the clutch wouldnt engage until you have a lot of throttle. and also, are there any problems that can happen from this like burning belts or any thing in the clutch? would it in time do any harm. thanks for all the help. its greatly appeciated.
