Default guages on sportsman

The sensor is mounted in the thermostat cover by drilling and tapping it. They offer a cover exchange program for those who are unable to drill and tap thier own.

But it measures flow outside of the engine. Might be fine as the hot coolant leaves the block, but what indication do you get if your thermostat sticks closed?
