Default mudlite comments/feedback?

swapped the factory chrome and rubber to ITP wheels and 27 inch mudlites.
immediatley before comming to a stop now, the front of the machine shakes violently for about a 1/2 second.
similar to a penny comming to a hault on a flat surface after "spinning" it.

its very quick, and goes away before you know whats happening.

could this be something in the clutching, or is this the nature of the tire?
thanks!

its the nature of the tire at higher speeds, but i don't have the problem with it stopping, but you have to figure with the larger width, it is going to be much different than the standard narrower tires....i would really look at your steering though to make sure that nothing is loose....I have the '05 700 EFI with 27 Mudlites on Type 5C wheels and I also have a set with 589's mounted...the mudlites wobble more at speeds above 35 mph, neither wobble or shake upon braking

not really under braking, just right before it comes to a hault. braking doesnt affect it.
i was actually impressed that hard turning actually felt easier with these tires than the stockers.
expected it to get worse.
i did notice a wobble at about 40+ on the road. i blasted it through some sand and it felt very smooth.
ill be hitting the mud tomorrow, they will be put to the test.

Does it do it when you ride really slow on pavement? If so, that's the quad shaking as you run over each lug of the tire. It stops at higher speeds because you are going fast enough that the quad doesn't have time to "fall" each time a lug goes by.

Like if you took a coin and cut notches all around the perimeter. If you rolled it slowly, it would bounce up and down. Roll it fast enough, and it would go smoothly as it went over the bumps.

hmmm, mine doesn't do that, on either the mudlites or 589's....but the mudlites do wobble above 35 mph...i cranked up the preload on the rear of the machine and the wobble went away on the 589's at higher speeds, but not really on the mudlites....

i had contacted ITP about the wobble, they said I could send the tires back to them and they would check them....yeah right, like I'm going to mail all the tires/wheels back to them, just to have them tell me its normal....i think part of the problem is the low pressure, large ***** and that they are not really very round...

I've also heard of people having good luck with putting BB's or balancing sand in the tires...

Never tried either my self, though, so IDK.
