tried bypassing the switch but still no help...does the reverse over ride button controll forward awd aswell as the reverse?? thinkin might br there? any way to bypass that switch??

lets start from the beginning: There is a red/w and 3 other wires at the shifter. The red/w should have power with key on. check that first. If no power bad wire or connection at terminal block. Now if you have power, connect red/w with gry/w at shifter. This sends power to the AWD switch. Check at AWD switch to be sure you have the power there. If not, bad wire.
Reverse override just for reverse, but if you do the bypass mod then you won't have to worry with that any longer.
Also, If you want to bypass all switches even the AWD switch and have power to 4x4 all the time, I can tell you what wires to link but I don't recommend it.

 

Thank you for the advice but I want to bypass all switches because I only use the quad for plowing snow and yard work.. no trail rides no mud holes and dont go more than 10 to 15 klm an hur awd all the time shouldn't be a problem...

SRCG,ok after looking at your exact model, its a little different. I didn't see the terminal block under the hood like the earlier models and the shifter is different. Nevertheless, Find the red/w and link to the gry/w. This will power the AWD switch, then somewhere in the AWD switch wiring harness you need to link the gry/w and the solid gray. Or if you can find a spot in the harness you can link the red/w with the solid gray. The solid gry runs directly to the front 4x4 coils. If I had a wiring diagram for that exact model I could be more direct with the instructions.
