Default Polaris 5' Moose Plow

I have a brand new 2005 600 sportsman with a 5 foot moose plow. I used it for the first time today. After about a 1/2 hour the plow would not lift up. I checked it out and the aluminum arm that connects to the arm that lifts the plow was bent along with the lifting arm under the atv. I banged the hell out of it to straighten it out, but does anyone know why this would happen? The connecting bolt was slightly loose and that may have allowed the play. Should the dealer or Polaris be responsible for replacing the arm? Thanks.

If it was dealer installed, and it was done improperly, then just take it back to the dealer to fix.
Let him worry about who pays for it, as long as it isn't you!

PolarisTravel...........
Is it possible that you might have been raising the plow too high.....The winch is strong enough to easily bend aluminum....You have to be sure you know how high you can lift it before you top it out........

I do not have an electric winch. I have the handle that you pull up. Thanks for the info though.
