God bless you guy's that got them to do it, but a lot of people got burned on their so called lifetime belt warranty. If you ask me, I think it's just a sale's scam. I would feel better if they didn't even offer it.

HEY WAYOUT i gots the vibes in mine too !! about 45 to 50 i gets a tinglin in my feets as my floorboards are vibrating mines got about 3800 miles and my belt and clutch is worn badly gotta figure out how much cash i can spend and whether to go with the 800 primary or go back stock and start modifying that peace be with us my neighbor burnt his belt on his 600 had it smoking took it to the dealer no questions asked got a new belt free of charge!!

basically yes it would fit but dont know about performance

 

About 1500 miles. It wasn't slipping or vibrating, the dealer said it was really glazed and was wore down.

 

The 800 primary has a smaller center for a lower end gear... thus more low end, and yes it will work on your 400 but dont expect to flip er over backwards

 

I tried to get a new belt for a '01 500 sp. The measured it and said, "come back when the measurements are out of tolerance!" I said "Tolerance is what I have, a new belt is what I need!" LOL. Then he said, they have to put it on, and they have to do an engine to tranny alignment check at my expense.(1 Hour labor) So, I think that i got the hammer, well, not really. I put it on and traded it in to get my bragging rights.(SP800) I do think that the dealer makes and breaks someones opinion. Think about it, we base our opinion on what we see and how we are treated at the dealer.
