Run alittle more. It takes a while for the guage to move. THe gas tank drops down at the front. So you really have more than you think. The guages aren't perfect either. If it ain't moved by time you can see the bottom of the tank, SOunds like the float may be hung or just bad.

It is pretty much standard to read on the high side, but when it does move, it will do it quickly!

Very true about the NON accuracy of the gas gauge. On another similar issue, and I'm not trying to steal this thread, but what is everyone getting for their BEST MPG with their 800 EFI ???

Yeah, this really deserves its own thread and there are several out there if you do a search. The best I’ve gotten is 62 miles on a tank before it’s dry but I’m running 27” tires, Heel Clicker kit and Aaen single-can exhaust so I’m burning more fuel than stock.

Your fuel gauge function seems to be standard. The weird shape of the tank doesn’t lend itself well to a float gauge setup. I usually run mine till it’s dry just to see what my range is but I carry spare fuel.
