Default burning belt

my scrammy has got a belt burning problem also. Before i blew the negine up, i could pull anything and get stuck and get my self out no prob. But ever since I got the engine fixed it started doing it, and ive put 3 belts in it within a year. Once it starts smoking, i dont move, but i let it idle. Blue smoke comes bellowing out and smells like my 69' camaro double clutched in first gear. anyone know how to stop it from doing it, because its really starting to tick me off.

Default burning belt

I have pulled all kinds of heavy things with my sportsman 500 and have never had a problem. but like someone else already said use low and give it plenty of throttle dont ease into it you need to get the clutch locked on the belt as fast as possible when tring to pull someone out like that. you should to be safe check your belt for hour glassing because if it is hour glassed and you run your machine at high speed it will blow the belt apart and leave you sitting.we also pull my 800 sportsman at atv pulls and have never had a belt issue and my daughter pulls my 500 with no problems at all with the belts.
