Check Engine light--500HO--2006
#1
All,
Went riding this weekend and noticed the check engine wrench is appearing when I first start the machine. It goes away after a couple of minutes but comes back everytime it's started. How do know what this would mean? Is there a way to extract a "code" from this...reset it...etc???
Thanks!

do you mean when you turn the key into the accessory position its there, but when you start it, it goes away? or when you start it its still there for a minute and then it goes away?
if its there for a minute then goes away its your serviceing wrench that its time for service. if its there before you start it, thats just normal stuff.

I think it is the service time light.

Mine did that and it was due to a battery that was not fully charged and having about 11 volts when I started. After a min or so the charging system re-charged the batt and it went out. I put a trickel charger on it for a couple of days and fixed the problem.
