Default sporty 800 belts

I have just under 700 miles on my sporty and just busted my second belt. It is still under warrenty but I am sick of being stranded and having to be towed in. I don't ride it hard like a sport bike but I don't baby it either. Is it just bad luck or is it a polaris thing?

Hoepig.

I have got 1100 miles on my original belt no problems whatsoever just curious are you riding in conditions wher you should be using low range but you are still in high range? Only reason i can think of.

I have only replaced my belt 2 on my 99 scrambler. Maybe a bad batch of belts that the stealer-ship has..

I have 3,200 miles on my 05 SP800 and no problems with the belt or bike & as you can see by the videos that Grizz puts up we beat the hell out of them. I would like to know where you could pick up a belt for the 800 because I don't want to pay $80 when I do need one. Anyone???

i would guess either the belts overheating form not using l range or maybe the clutches are out of alinement.

I pick my belts up on e-bay, Either Polaris belts or Hp Dayco both are the right price there. Are you using low when you need to? that or a clutch issue re: out of alignment etc.

I use low any time tow or run trails below 10 mph. I have followed the book to a tee. All other ATV's I have had never had belt problems. First belt broke at 336 miles and the second had 346 on it. Never pulled anything with the second belt. Bike is still under warrenty. Hopefully they will check the cluthh allignment. My 650 Prarie had 2600 miles on the original belt and I rode that bike allot harder than my sporty. I hope they resolve the problem. I really like my sporty.

4 belts and 4000 miles on bike

First belt at 650 miles
then at 1700 miles
again at 2900 miles and
one again at 4000 miles

only two left me stranded, sucks!!!!

the other two I caught before they blew. My dealere has gone over everything and has found nothing wrong.
