Can someone tell me what this drain is? It's in the center of this picture. Picture taken from underneath engine with skid plate removed.

You can see the black drop of oil (or oil-gas mix) coming out of the hole. I've been tryinng to find the source of an oil leak. I thought that the screw that was in this hole was the source of the leak so I tightened the screw and the thread broke off inside the hole.

Is there anything I can do? I think I stripped the threads inside the hole.

From the picture it looks like a drain plug...there are two one for the motor and one for the starter.(hard to tell which one it is)

The bolt has a hole drilled from the threaded tip to where the threads stop and a second hole across the bolt to alow it to drain without takking the bolt completely out.

That's why it broke so easy (weaker than normal bolt)

Use an "easy out" to take out the threads that are left in the hole and replace with a new one.

try to reuse the alum washer from the first bolt.(acts as a seal)
