Default rear yoke on Sportsman

I was replacing the roll pin in my 800 and noticed tha you could take a bar and wiggle the rear yoke on the back differential a litlle on the shaft...It doesent have a roll pin or set screw....My other 800 is the same way...Id imagine thats normal because if it couldnt move it have to bind up since it doesent have a slip joint.....any thoughts...

I responded once, but it didn't make it!

I'll try again. Mine has movement too. I even saw the fron yoke move SLIGHTLY. No slip yoke because diff and trans are mounted to the same chassis part(no suspension travel) The rear is held inplace by the front roll pin. The solid shaft will not move any, if either pin is in.

Is there enough room to get the shaft out, without moving the diff backwards?

Not sure what you mean? I noticed it was loose so I took it apart and both caps in the front shaft were broke. Really sucked changing it. You have to remove all the bolts from the rear gearcase and slide it back to get the shaft out.
