you really seem to know alot about these, can the top end be done with engine on the bike?
an maybe you might know why the reverse light switch causes bike to stop?
i have tired adjusting the linkage i get it running ,with the light on an then put the bike away , an go back to it an then you start it up put it in rev, an stop i finally took the plug off an it is fine know i know why this plug wasn't put on?
thanks for any help

Don't let the hp numbers fool you. Its all in how you get it to the ground. Clutching clutching clutching!

the manual says 30 weight oil for tranny?
but does it have to be straight 30 or can it be 10/30?
You need to use a chaincase lube in the tranny either the synthetic AGL fluid or the old polaris mineral oil chaincase lube.If you want some mineral oil lube I have some I would let go of for $4.00 a qt +shipping.the AGL lube is $12 a qt.

I have a 95 Trail Blazer, I'm assuming its very similar. Mine was doing the same thing, found out the rings were stuck to the piston. So I had to replace the piston and rings. I also decided to bore it.

as afr as the hard starting warm.... ia hvd a 91 trail bos4+4 and i did the top end weisco style and still had the same problem ( not to say it was not needed) it ended up being the crank seals sucking air..have a 99 trail blazer 250 (same motor) exact same senario ..... check your crank seals
