Default 93 polaris trail boss

have few questions need help
1 bike is hard to start after riding for a while .
2 there two connector plugs not connected by rear brake can't seem to find where they go
3 having trouble putting into reverse griding at times
any help would be great

1. check your compression sounds like it is time for a topend job
2.one is a accessory plug not sure on the other(pics would help)
3. either your idle is too high or your front clutch isnt releasing completely or the shift rod needs adjusting or the shift fork inside the tranny is worn.

do i need to do any thing special to get this in reverse like go to neutral first or hold both brakes?

To get it in reverse just pull the lever back.If it doesnt go in check previous post.

how often do you need to change the belt i just got this thing an know nothing about thme at all still waiting for the manual so any help would be great[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif[/img]

A lot of the issues you may be having could have to do with the history of maintanence on the quad.

Belt is only gonna be about 30-40 bucks, so it wouldn't be a bad idea just to replace it.

what about clutch springs ?
any info on good maintence would help
like things that might need changing now since it's a 93

how hard is it to change? this is my first quad had lots of street enduros dirt bike so this is all new[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

I have been told that u are suppose to hold down on the foot brake when shifting gears to avoid the grinding..the brake stops the clutch? possible..this is just what i have been told works for me
