Default Engine Sump Drain Plug??

I am in the middle of doing my first oil change on my own without the dealer. I am now looking for the Engine Sump Drain Plug. It tells me that approximately 1 cup of engine oil will remaim in the crankcase. To drain remove drain plug found on the lower right side of crankcase.....That is the rear brake side correct?......Also I did not remove the oil hose connection between the oil tank and pump inlet so oil pump priming should not be needed right? This only needs to be done when the hose with the filter screen is removed...Correct?......All the post that I read people have done this only to find the screen clean.....I will do it next time(every second oil change)......Thanks.....I know I read about this before but just want to find the Sump drain plug????

Look under the atv from the rear brake pedal side. Look for a cut out in the skid plate. Look up through the cut out and you should be able to see the 14 mm plug.

I drain it.

It is my understanding that you don't have to prime the pump if you don't take the lower hose off. I had never even heard of priming the oil pump until recently. I've had a 99 sp 500 since 99 and I have never primed it and I always used to take the lower hose off. Never found anything on the screen.
